Historically known as one of the most romantic spots in Austin, The Driskill Grill has been an Austin institution since 1929. Formerly The Driskill Dining Parlor, President Lyndon B. Johnson took future First Lady Claudia (Lady Bird) Taylor on their first date at the Parlor in 1934. Countless dates, social affairs and proposals have occurred in the Grill - home to one of the most romantic tables in Austin.
The Driskill Grill is open from 5:30 p.m. - 10 p.m. from Tuesday - Saturday, and is closed on Sunday and Monday, available for private events.
